Wow. I can’t believe that it has been 10 years since the September 11th attacks. I still remember exactly where I was and all of my thoughts and confusion that day.
I was in 4th grade…just about ready to leave for school when my brother caught something on TV and told my mom. I remember having no idea who “Al-Qaeda” or “Osama bin Laden” was. I remember picking up that they were “bad” people from a different country. It was a weird day…things just seemed off. I will never forget the feeling of being united as whole country. During that school day, we sang and prayed for America. The American flags, ribbons, and flowers stood out to me everywhere I went. Driving through neighborhoods of houses everyone put the flag out. I loved that feeling of being united as a country. Nothing last forever, just as that feeling didn’t last forever. As the years continued on I slowly felt that feeling go away. September 11th, 2001 will be a day that will never be forgotten. God bless America, all the men and woman that lost their lives, the loved ones families and all the people that served.
